QCI, MP govt launch Gunvatta Yatra to boost quality healthcare ecosystem
Reinforcing its shared commitment to advancing quality healthcare across the country, the Quality Council of India (QCI) and the Government of Madhya Pradesh are set to launch the Gunvatta Yatra across the state from 6 July 2026. The initiative, being undertaken by QCI through its constituent board, the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), in collaboration with the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Bhopal, and the District Health Administration, Madhya Pradesh, aims to promote a culture of quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement among healthcare institutions. By encouraging wider adoption of quality standards and accreditation, the initiative supports the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, with accessible, safe, and high-quality healthcare for every citizen.
The Gunvatta Yatra will serve as a comprehensive awareness and capacity-building initiative for hospitals and healthcare institutions, helping them understand the importance of quality systems and the pathways to NABH Entry Level Certification (ELC) and Full NABH Accreditation. Through expert-led technical sessions, interactive discussions, and practical guidance, the initiative seeks to accelerate the adoption of globally benchmarked quality standards across Madhya Pradesh’s healthcare ecosystem.
The programme is expected to bring together senior officials from the Government of Madhya Pradesh, district health authorities, hospital owners, medical superintendents, hospital administrators, quality managers, clinicians, and representatives of healthcare institutions, creating a collaborative platform to strengthen patient safety and quality healthcare delivery.
