India, Japan ink MOC to boost healthcare, MedTech 

India and Japan have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to strengthen collaboration in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnology, marking a significant step towards advancing global health security. The partnership aims to leverage India’s large-scale manufacturing and cost efficiencies alongside Japan’s technological precision and quality standards to improve access to affordable, reliable and advanced healthcare solutions. The agreement is expected to facilitate joint research, innovation and capacity building across key segments of the healthcare ecosystem.

The MoC also focuses on enhancing cooperation in MedTech development, regulatory alignment and supply chain resilience for critical medical products. With growing demand for high-quality diagnostics, devices and therapeutics, the collaboration is likely to open new avenues for co-development and technology transfer.
