Delhi CM pitches for PPP in healthcare; inaugurates hospital
Asserting that collaboration between the government and private sector will play a key role in strengthening the Capital’s health system, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday said that providing timely and affordable treatment to every Delhi resident is her administration’s priority.
She was speaking at an event to inaugurate a new private hospital in Buddh Vihar Phase-1. “The government is continuously working to develop the Capital as a medical hub. To this end, new and modern hospitals are being constructed, existing hospitals are being upgraded, and the availability of specialist doctors is being increased,” Ms. Gupta said.
The CM said that health services are being strengthened through government initiatives as well as public-private partnerships to deliver effective outcomes. Ms. Gupta also inaugurated a new Department of Medical Genetics at Maulana Azad Medical College, affiliated with Lok Nayak Hospital. The Hindu
