Michigan-based Aspen Surgical names Jørgen B. Hansen as CEO
Aspen Surgical Products announced the appointment of Jørgen B. Hansen as its Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Hansen joins Aspen Surgical with more than three decades of leadership experience across the medical technology and patient care sectors. His career is defined by an ability to drive growth, operational excellence, and value creation in public, private equity-, and venture-backed companies. Hansen was previously President & CEO of Cantel Medical, where the then public company’s revenue grew more than two-fold and the M&A program completed 23 acquisitions over his seven-year tenure. He also previously served as CEO of Ivenix prior to its successful exit to Fresenius Kabi, was CEO of Gravitas Medical, and has held senior roles at Coloplast and Convatec.
“Aspen Surgical has a strong foundation and significant opportunities ahead,” said Hansen. “I am excited to work with the team to drive growth, strengthen execution, and continue Aspen Surgical’s commitment to serving clinicians and patients.”
Since Audax Private Equity’s investment in Aspen Surgical in 2019, the business has demonstrated market traction and consistent growth, leveraging both organic and inorganic growth drivers. Over that period, Aspen has completed eight acquisitions, including the recent acquisitions of Flagship Surgical and Cygnus Medical completed in summer 2025.
