Civil Hospital, Manali gets new medical equipment
The Civil Hospital, Manali, has been provided with state-of-the-art medical equipment. Manali MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur inaugurated a modern C-ARM machine and unveiled a new ultrasound machine at the hospital.
The MLA said that the introduction of these two crucial medical equipment would ensure better diagnostic capabilities, faster treatment and high-quality healthcare services for the residents of the Manali Assembly constituency. He added that patients would now be able to undergo advanced medical investigations and treatment locally, eliminating the need to travel to distant hospitals.
Gaur said that the C-ARM machine would prove beneficial in handling accident cases, complex surgical procedures and orthopaedic interventions while the ultrasound machine would enhance diagnostic services, particularly for expectant mothers and patients suffering from serious illnesses. “Strengthening healthcare services is our top priority. We are committed to continuously providing modern and advanced facilities in the Manali constituency,” he added.
Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission Vidya Negi, SDM Raman Sharma, Chief Medical Officer Dr Ranjit Thakur, Dr Karan, Dr Ankit Bapa and local representatives were present on the occasion.
Gaur said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, development works to the tune of Rs 550 crore were underway in the Manali Assembly constituency. He added that a Rs 325-crore sewerage and drinking water scheme was being implemented, while Rs 45 crore had been allocated for a wellness centre. Besides, Rs 36 crore had been sanctioned for the construction of a bypass and Rs 40 crore had been earmarked for the development of an ice-skating rink.
The MLA said that a bridge was also being constructed over the Beas to connect Rangri to Aleo and it would significantly improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion in the area. He added that these projects reflected the government’s commitment to holistic development and improved quality of life for the people of Manali.
The MLA expressed heartfelt gratitude to all officers, doctors and healthcare staff for their cooperation and dedication in making this public welfare initiative successful.
