Centre banks on AI for speedy, transparent AB-PMJAY claim adjudication
National Health Authority (NHA) is exploring artificial intelligence for faster and transparent claim adjudication under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
NHA is organising an Auto-Adjudication Hackathon to develop scalable tools that can streamline the assessment and settlement of insurance claims under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PM-JAY).
“National Health Authority, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, is organising the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojna Auto‑Adjudication Hackathon, to develop innovative, scalable, technology‑driven solutions to facilitate automation of claims adjudication in the AB PMJAY,” said Dr. Raghav Langer, Secretary, National Medical Commission, in a notification.
All medical colleges and institutions have been advised to disseminate the information on the hackathon among the stakeholders and encourage participation of researchers, innovators, and professionals from academic and professional networks
Policymakers, healthcare professionals, technology experts, and start-ups are likely to participate in the event
