Industry Speaks

Way forward 2020

The year 2019 was a year of innovating, creating, and increasing our footprints across the country. This process led us to important learning, and in 2020 Schiller India intends to apply this learning to continue providing efficient and cost-effective healthcare solutions to its customers. Schiller, as always, will go that extra mile for its customers, offering significant advances in modern medical technologies, at affordable prices.

The markets worldwide saw an upward surge in the demand for CPET systems in the past few years, and we see that trend emerging in India as well from 2020 onwards. Major corporate hospitals and diagnostic centers will look at buying these systems in the coming years. Keeping up with the expected demands of the market, the focus this year will be to promote products such as our CPET (Cardiopulmonary Exercise Tests) system or ergospirometry, in addition to our other products. Therefore, as we see ergospirometry as the emerging market segment in 2020, we plan to promote our recently launched variations in Cardiovit CS-200 series – Office EgroSpiro and Excellence ErgoSpiro.

The Cardiovit CS-200 Office ErgoSpiro performs cardiopulmonary exercise tests (CPET) according to the latest ATS/ERS guidelines. The metabolic tests, combined with diagnostic-quality 12-lead exercise ECG, are suitable for a wide range of subjects, from clinical patients to high-performance athletes. The fully integrated 12-lead exercise ECG with the wireless acquisition also improves patient comfort. The PWC Ergo forms the heart of the system. Together with the pneumotach, it ensures the highest-possible accuracy.

Cardiovit CS-200 Excellence ErgoSpiro system performs both pulmonary function tests and metabolic tests with diagnostic-quality 12- or 16-lead exercise ECG conveniently and accurately in a single device, with none of the compromises that sometimes have to be made in combined systems. It can be used for children and adults, patients and athletes, collecting full breath-by-breath data.

In the ventilator segment, a very important trend that has been observed is that of a rapid increase in the demand for non-invasive ventilation (NIV) with high-flow oxygen, among the intensivists. Catering to this demand, we have introduced a dedicated NIV ventilator for neonatal patient care called Aquilon NV8. With a user-friendly interface for easy clinical practice for medical staff, it includes features like NCPAP, HFNC, and S-NIPPV modes.

Innovation has always been one of our key driving factors, which have led us to introduce several new pioneering products and solutions in India over the years. In the coming decade, we plan to work toward developing technical, management, and innovative approaches to fulfill demands of the market and look at growing our customer base pan India.
