Skanray vision 2025 – Expanding global reach with smart medical devices

The scope of MedTech is rapidly expanding as technology reshapes healthcare, encompassing innovations from diagnostic devices to artificial intelligene (AI)-driven platforms and regenerative medicine. These advancements aim to enhance patient outcomes, increase access to care, and reduce costs. With digital technologies and sustainability initiatives shaping the future of medical technology, Skanray is committed to expanding its global footprint by offering smart medical devices, including connected diagnostic equipment and real-time patient monitoring systems.

Impact on global wellness
Smart medical devices are set to revolutionize global wellness by enhancing healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and affordability. Their expansion into remote and underserved regions can transform healthcare delivery, improve chronic disease outcomes, and empower healthier lives worldwide.

Embracing digital health and telemedicine expansion
Telemedicine integration. As telemedicine grows, integrating portable imaging systems like mobile x-ray machines with telemedicine platforms for remote monitoring and diagnosis is crucial. We aim to bridge in-person and virtual care by investing in cloud-based platforms, enabling radiologists to analyze images remotely for rapid decision-making in critical situations.

AI-driven diagnostics. Integrating AI into our x-ray machines for data analysis and clinical decision-making, along with investing in AI-driven tools for image analysis, predictive analytics, and workflow optimization, will be crucial to staying competitive in radiology and critical care as AI transforms diagnostics.

AI and big data in healthcare. Building advanced data analytics platforms that utilize big data and AI for predictive healthcare, identifying trends, patterns, and potential risks early. These tools can help improve treatment outcomes and efficiency.

Regulatory compliance and global expansion
CE mark and FDA approvals. 35 of our products are USFDA-approved, ensuring compliance with the most stringent regulations (e.g., CE marking in Europe, FDA approval in the US) for global expansion.

Emerging markets. We focus on expanding into emerging markets, such as Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa, by improving healthcare infrastructure, and tailoring products to specific regional needs, including affordable diagnostics, and mobile health solutions for rural areas.

Collaborations and partnerships
Strategic partnerships. Forge partnerships with hospitals, universities, IT and research institutions.

Co-developing next-generation devices. Skanray, in collaboration with its key strategic partner Tata Elxsi, is developing advanced surgical imaging core technology and software platforms to revolutionize diagnosis and treatment with predictable, accurate, and consistent solutions. As part of a long-term strategy, Skanray aims to expand its portfolio with new devices families and modalities, focusing on creating reusable medical devices modules and components while advancing an analytics-driven cloud platform.

Enhanced patient and healthcare provider experience
Patient-centric solutions. Develop technologies that focus on improving the patient experience – whether through faster diagnostics, more accurate treatments, or personalized care that enhances both safety and comfort.

Improve physician support. Develop tools that improve the efficiency of healthcare providers, such as smart diagnostic tools, decision support software, and automated workflows that reduce administrative burdens and enhance clinical outcomes.

Sustainability and circular economy
Sustainability in medical devices. As global environmental concerns grow, we consider sustainability as part of our product development process. Developing eco-friendly, recyclable, or reusable devices, we aim for green certifications.

Circular economy models. Our key focus is to develop a product lifecycle management model, emphasizing reuse, recycling, or safe disposal, particularly for complex devices with critical components, such as batteries, detectors, and imaging systems.

Employee well-being and organizational culture
Focus on employee experience. As the MedTech industry grows, we prioritize investing in a positive and innovative company culture, fostering learning, creativity, and collaboration to keep employees engaged and motivated.

Diversity and inclusion. We prioritize diversity and inclusion in both our workforce and product development to ensure our solutions address the needs of a diverse patient population.

Outlook
The future of MedTech in critical care and radiology is promising, driven by opportunities to innovate with AI, portable imaging technologies, advanced diagnostics, and personalized care models. Success will depend on developing integrated solutions that enhance patient outcomes, streamline workflows, ensure data security, and meet regulatory standards. Companies embracing these trends with patient-centric, precision technologies will shape the future of healthcare.
