India, with its vast population of over 1.3 billion people, faces unique challenges in providing equitable healthcare. Inadequate healthcare infrastructure across the country makes it difficult to offer regular diagnostic services, especially in rural areas. This calls for a holistic approach to healthcare – one that not only focuses on providing quality services but also strengthens manufacturing and research to create a self-sufficient ecosystem that reduces reliance on imports.

Key growth pillars
Our vision for the future is built on three key pillars – advancing our product portfolio through state-of-the-art research to become a total solutions provider, expanding our manufacturing capabilities to meet global standards, and ensuring that every corner of India, including remote villages, gets our best after-sales service. Today, our technology facilitates over 150 crore diagnostic tests annually, proving that healthcare can be inclusive and accessible for all.

In 2024, we marked several significant milestones, which reaffirmed our commitment to delivering world-class diagnostic solutions across India and internationally. We successfully installed over 1 lakh blood analyzers in 5000+ public hospitals and laboratories, enabling us to provide free diagnostic services to over 350 million underserved individuals. We also expanded our global footprint by establishing a new manufacturing facility in Russia and launching operations in Indonesia, reaching an additional 300 million people.

Embracing technological advancements
As we look toward 2025, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. We are embracing technological advancements to tackle both infectious and non-communicable diseases that continue to affect India. Our focus on molecular diagnostics for diseases like HIV, TB, and cancer will play a vital role in early detection and treatment. Through our global R&D centers in India, France, the UK, the Czech Republic, and Austria, we are driving innovation, with our latest breakthrough, NEXUS, a total lab automation solution, designed to meet the needs of mid- and large-sized laboratories.

At the same time, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of talent in the MedTech space. We are proud to announce the establishment of India’s first MedTech University, aimed at providing world-class education and research in medical technology. Additionally, we have set up two Erba Institutes of Medical Lab Technology in Panchgani and Ajmer, where we will train over 300 skilled laboratory technicians each year to meet the growing demand for healthcare professionals across India.

In 2025, we will also introduce several patented technologies, including chemiluminescence, molecular testing, and AI-based hematology systems, which will drive further expansion and innovation. These technological advancements are pivotal to our strategy of enhancing healthcare access and improving patient outcomes, both in India and around the world.
