PM Modi to inaugurate five new AIIMS tomorrow, Feb 25

Under the goal of ‘Ayushman Bharat, Viksit Bharat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate five new AIIMS to the nation on 25th of this month from Gujarat. They are AIIMS Rajkot in Gujarat, AIIMS Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh, AIIMS Bathinda in Punjab, AIIMS Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh and AIIMS Kalyani in West Bengal. Breifing media in New Delhi this evening, Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate various medical colleges and nursing colleges across the country. Many new medical colleges and various advanced health facilities including Critical Care Blocks and Integrated Public Health Labs under Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission PM-ABHIM will be inaugurated. Modi will also dedicate to the nation advanced research labs and facilities of Indian Council of Medical Research and various National Health Mission Projects. To ensure the safety and quality of food consumed by millions of Indians, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate advanced food safety infrastructure projects and facilities in multiple states. Mandaviya said, all these health projects with a total cost of over 11 thousand 391 crore rupees will bring a wave of healthcare advancements and transform India’s healthcare landscape. The projects will ensure quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare for all along with expanding medical education in the country. The Minister said, the new medical and nursing colleges will nurture the next generations of doctors and healthcare professionals in the country. He said, the new healthcare infrastructure projects and facilities will propel India towards a healthier, happier, and prosperous tomorrow.

In a span of just ten days, seven AIIMS are being inaugurated. The foundation stone of AIIMS Rewari was laid on Friday while AIIMS Jammu will be inaugurated tomorrow by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. News On AIR
