JJ Hospital to invest ₹728 crore to develop residential complex
JJ Hospital in India has proposed a Rs 728 crore ($98 million) plan to develop a residential complex within its campus. The project will replace the hospital’s aging infrastructure with eight luxury towers intended to provide contemporary, upscale accommodation for its doctors, nurses, and other staff.
The state government has approved a luxury redevelopment plan for on-campus quarters, responding to the current dilapidated conditions. The plan aims to provide a hygienic living environment and will replace the old structures with new amenities such as podium parking, serene gardens, and a swimming pool. A major part of this initiative is a 22-storey tower that will be dedicated to Class 1 and 2 staff, replacing the existing Dhanvantari buildings.
A new tower featuring 150 luxury apartments is set to redefine upscale living. Comprising 40 three-bedroom flats and 110 two-bedroom flats, each measuring 1,152 sq. ft. and 872 sq. ft. respectively, the tower prioritises comfort and extravagance. The spacious three-bedroom units offer ample space for families, while the two-bedroom flats are perfect for those seeking a more compact, yet equally luxurious, living arrangement.
The Public Works Department (PWD) has prepared a blueprint for a housing project for Class 3 and Class 4 employees. The design includes three 34-storey towers for Class 3 employees, providing 612 one-bedroom flats, and four towers for Class 4 employees, offering 816 modern one-bedroom flats. Construction Week
