Haryana to provide necessary equipment to all existing health institutions

Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao emphasised that her top priority is to equip all existing health institutions in the state with necessary equipment, medicines, and manpower to ensure better healthcare services for patients. Rao, who was in Panipat to review local health infrastructure, held a meeting with officials from the Health Department and district administration.

“My first agenda is to properly equip all the existing hospitals after a thorough review to identify the basic amenities required,” she said. Rao explained that many hospitals face a mismatch between the availability of doctors and equipment, which she aims to address in order to improve services across the state.

Rao further added that after equipping existing hospitals with basic infrastructure, the government will focus on larger projects like super-speciality hospitals. She reiterated Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s commitment to serving the people of Haryana.

During the meeting, it was revealed that Panipat has a 200-bed hospital, but there is a need for a trauma centre, and a mother and child care centre is currently under construction. Rao assured that a separate meeting will be convened to address Panipat’s specific health needs.

Deputy Commissioner Virender Kumar Dahiya, SP Lokender Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr Jayant Ahuja, and other officials were present at the meeting. The Tribune
