Complaint filed against MPMSU, Jabalpur for irregularities
After the scam in Bhopal’s Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, now a case of irregularities has come to light in Jabalpur’s Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU). A complaint has been made to the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) about irregularities worth more than Rs 120 crore in the university. NSUI leader Ravi Parmar has complained about this matter and demanded to register the case. A memorandum has also been given regarding this.
Through the memorandum, it was said that in Madhya Pradesh Medical University, the only medical university of Madhya Pradesh, in the audit of local body audit last year, the matter of non-renewal of appropriation amount (FDR) was found to be flawed in the audit. The audit of the university clearly stated that the FDR has not been renewed. The appropriation register presented in the audit has not been certified by any competent authority.
It is written in the complaint memorandum – Renewal of FDR was not done on the maturity date. As a result, Rs 309697927 in August 2022, Rs 9 crore 11 thousand twenty one in September 2022, Rs 34 crore 54 lakh 31 thousand 194 in October 2022, Rs 26 crore 83 lakh 46 thousand 508 in the month November 2022, Rs 26 crore 83 lakh 46 thousand 508 in the month December 2022. There has been a loss of Rs 8 crore 74 lakh 13 thousand 993 in 2017 and Rs 10 crore 81 lakh 65 thousand 157 in January 2023.
In this way, due to non-renewal of FDR worth Rs 1 billion 20 crore 90 lakh 65 thousand 100, there is a possibility of loss of about Rs 1.25 crore. Many shortcomings have also been found in the verification of 8 branch register, postal register, money pass and stamp duty etc.
Parmar said that irregularities are also being done in the tenders by the Medical Sciences University administration. Due to which the university is suffering financial loss. A scam worth crores of rupees was carried out by making thousands of nursing answer sheets wet. NSUI has demanded an investigation of the tabulation sheets and answer sheets of the results of all the examinations.
Registrar of Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University Pushpraj Singh Baghel said that the matter regarding which complaint has been made. Its investigation is being conducted by the university administration and a retired judge of the High Court. It is wrong to link this matter with the case of RGPV University of Bhopal. Whatever FDRs are there are in nationalized banks. And as far as FDR renewal is not done on time, many times the action could not be taken due to non-availability of officers or other reasons. But, FDR gets auto-renewed at the current interest rate in banks. Recently the preliminary investigation report of this case has also been presented in Raj Bhavan. Talks like scam are baseless.
