269 PG Medical, Dental Seats Vacant
After the second round of admissions to postgraduate medical and dental seats, as many as 269 seats still remain vacant. The number of vacant seats is likely to increase further as professors who had been transferred earlier, are expected to be transferred back to their original posts.
More than 250 professors of government medical colleges had been transferred to undergraduate medical colleges in Patan, Junagadh, Himmatnagar, Jamnagar and other places owing to Medical Council of India inspection. With the MCI inspection over, they are likely to be posted back to their respective colleges.
Among the 269 vacant seats, 13 seats are from diploma courses, 191 are in MD and MS courses and 65 seats are vacant in the MDS category. An in-person round of admission to these 269 vacant seats,will be conducted from May 4 to 8 at Gandhinagar. – The Times of India
