Every once in a while, a new technology, an old problem, and a big idea turn into an innovation.
This fact has paved the way for us. Bad Ems is naturally gifted with mineral-rich spring water. This was the place where many tsars, emperors, ministers, and writers thronged to, to be cured of their respiratory ailments by the vapors from the springs. This is when, in 1883, Carl Heyer recognized the potential of inhalation technology. He started his own workshop to develop devices, which would allow people to inhale the healing vapors without the need to visit these thermal springs. Thus, HEYER Medical was born.
Since the past 130 years, we are constantly striving to find novel solutions to important problems on a global level. With over a decade's experience in the Indian market, we have realized that customers have become very comfortable with the current products available in the market, while compromising on newer, innovative technologies. In the coming years, we plan on developing strategic marketing plans like continued medical education (CME), demonstrations, trials, advertising in top publications, state-level medical meets etc. Our aim is to make HEYER a well-known brand in a couple of years and a go-to company for medical equipment requirements.
India has a vast geographical area. To be known across the country means establishing a robust dealer base in every state. Currently, HEYER has a strong dealer network in the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, and Odisha. Our plan involves partnering with associates in regions where we do not have a wider presence to respond quickly to customer needs and special requirements. This also includes expanding our team and looking for driven, innovative, and creative individuals who believe in the mission and philosophy of HEYER Medical and advocate the same with passion and commitment.
There are several challenges that face the Indian healthcare sector, and one of them is the rising costs of medical equipment. As pointed out at the Nasscom India Leadership Forum, advanced technology has resulted in higher prices and an even higher margin on healthcare devices. Medical technology plays an important role in maintaining and saving lives, and every patient has the right to receive the best healthcare. HEYER Medical's vision is to keep pace with progress while offering cost-effective appliances to doctors worldwide. After all, medical technology cannot, and should not, be a luxury. As a reflection of our promise to be innovative and offer premium performance at all levels, we are in the process of developing quite a few state-of-the-art devices that will be completely digitalized, fully automated, and will have an anti-microbial surface to disrupt conventional notions among customers.
In a span of three years, we plan on being the best company in development, manufacturing, and distribution of high-quality medical devices in India. We thus plan on expanding our product portfolio in anesthesia, ventilation, and patient monitoring.
This is our vision for 2020.
