EMCO is shortly introducing its standalone anesthesia gas monitor (AGM) 7200 manufactured for the first time in India. EMCO is an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certified company, incorporated in 1989. AGM 7200 is being manufactured incorporating technology from Drgerwerk AG & Co. KGaA, Germany (Draeger), world known for anesthesia and other equipment, and operates on non-dispersive infrared technology.

The AGM 7200 provides continuous and real-time monitoring of anesthetic and respiratory gases (oxygen [O2], nitrous oxide [N2O], carbon dioxide [CO2], and 5 halogenated agents) in the patient breathing circuit during anesthesia.

AGM 7200 will be available from May, 2017 onwards. There are four variants available:-

  • Single Agent with Manual Identification (without O2)
  • Single Agent with Manual Identification (with O2)
  • Dual Agent with Auto Identification (without O2)
  • Dual Agent with Auto Identification (with O2).

The monitor has a 7" TFT touchscreen display for easy operation and has alarms, trends, and a built-in rechargeable battery. It has online 24-hour trending facility and standby mode for fast power on and battery saving. AGMs display inspired/expired gas concentrations and sound alarms to alert clinical personnel when the concentrations of measured gases and the physiologic parameters fall outside set limits. It is ideally suited for low-flow anesthesia in operation theaters.
