Government Hospital Development Committee chairman and MLC Ramu Surya Rao has said soon additional beds will be arranged in the hospital in view of increased number of the in-patients. He inspected various wards in the government headquarters hospital here on Friday.

During his inspection, he found patients on the floor due to non-availability of beds. He said that soon additional beds would be arranged as the hospital was witnessing the heavy rush of in-patients. He said that steps were taken up to supply drinking water round-the-clock and special assistance teams were also appointed to serve the patients.

He said that already Clean and Green programme was taken up in the hospital. However, he observed that more basic amenities have to be provided for the patients. – The Hans India
